DESCRIPTION:Don Walker, Senior Osteologist, MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) will be giving a talk.\n\nThe excavations on the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon Road Improvement Scheme (A14C2H) in Cambridgeshire revealed 12,000 years of human history, from prehistoric hunter-gatherers and farmers to medieval industries. Local trends in funerary behaviour seemingly follow regional patterns, but what more can we learn about the people?\nIn this talk you will discover intriguing insights into burial customs and the lives and health of past communities, and learn not only about the individuals buried, but also about the changes in burial practices, and what this tells us about the people and their changing attitudes.\nWarning – There will be images of skeletons and human remains but nothing gory!\nThe talk will start at 7.00 pm. The event will be in the Kier Suite and entry is free though donations to help with the cost of the venue would be welcome.\n
